Hi, my name is Jim Hageman, President and Founding Minister of Daily Grace Ministries, Inc. Daily Grace Ministries (DGM) was founded out of my personal, life-changing journey with our Lord Jesus Christ.
DGM’s calling is to help people heal from emotional trauma, experience inner healing, find freedom from demonic oppression, learn spiritual warfare, and understand how to walk in the authority Jesus has given believers.
The purpose of Daily Grace Ministries is to honor God, bring Him glory, and help advance His Kingdom here on earth.
My Testimony
Early Life & Salvation
I was born in 1957 and raised in a Catholic family in Buffalo, New York. Although I went through all the sacraments of the Catholic Church, I never truly knew God or had a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
That changed in 1983 while I was living in Texas and struggling to provide for my family while building my first company.
One morning, I picked up a Picture Bible we had in our home and began flipping through the pages. I came to a picture of Jesus with the Scripture from John 3:16, and something stirred deeply in my heart. Then I turned to Romans 10:9, and that Scripture captured my full attention.
In that moment, it was just Jesus, the Bible, and me. I asked Jesus to forgive my sins, and I confessed Him as my Lord and Savior. From that point forward, my life began to change. I became passionate about the Lord and read through the Bible several times.
Loss & Drifting Away
A few years later, tragedy struck my life. My wife Brenda passed away at the young age of 34. It devastated both my nine-year-old daughter and me. Although we knew Brenda was in Heaven and no longer suffering, we felt deeply alone, hurt, and lost without her.
Over time, I slowly drifted away from my close relationship with God. Although I still considered myself a Christian, I began living according to the world’s ways instead of God’s ways.
I was married two more times and followed the world’s pattern for relationships and marriage. Both marriages ultimately ended painfully due to my wives’ marital unfaithfulness.
After my last failed marriage, my heart was shattered. I felt lonely, empty, and broken, and I entered into numerous ungodly relationships trying to fill the void in my heart.
At the same time, a close family member asked me to help them overcome a heroin addiction, but nothing I did seemed to help. It was one of the lowest seasons of my life.
A Life-Changing Encounter with God
During that difficult time, I repeatedly asked a co-worker named Jim to pray for me. He and his wife faithfully prayed for my situation. Eventually, Jim invited me to attend church with his family.
At first, I resisted. I told him, “No way. Churches only want your money. They don’t really care about people.” I simply wanted prayer, not church.
But the Holy Spirit had a different plan.
That Sunday, I showed up at church. The pastor preached a message on David and Goliath, and during that message, I sensed the presence of God the Father for the very first time. I knew He was speaking directly to me.
I sensed Him saying:
“If you will give Me the giants in your life, I will take them from you.”
So I surrendered my pain, hurt, anger, and brokenness to Him. Instantly, I was overwhelmed by a supernatural peace unlike anything I had ever experienced.
Then the Lord showed me something even deeper. He revealed that although I had received Jesus as my Savior years earlier, I had never truly made Him Lord of my life. I was saved by grace, but I was still living life my way instead of His way.
The Lord impressed upon my heart that if I would truly surrender my life to Jesus and follow His ways wholeheartedly, my life would completely change.
Surrendering Fully to Jesus
That day, in December 2011, I fully surrendered my life to Jesus as Lord. Something changed deeply within me.
Jesus healed wounds in my heart that only He could heal. He also led me to forgive those who had hurt me, and as I forgave them, bitterness and anger left my life.
In place of my pain, God gave me a passionate desire to know Him and live according to His Word. I immersed myself in Scripture, ministry training, Christian books, and discipleship.
As I continued pursuing the Lord, He began leading me into ministry focused on helping others experience healing, freedom, and restoration through Jesus Christ.
Called Into Ministry
In November 2013, I was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the National Association of Christian Ministers.
In March 2017, I was ordained through Vision Life Ministries as a Deliverance, Inner Healing, and Emotional Trauma Healing Minister.
In July 2017, Daily Grace Ministries, Inc. was established as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) ministry.
Later that year, at the Head of the Year 5778, Daily Grace Ministries and I were commissioned by Glory of Zion International Ministries as a Ministry of Zion and as a Church of Zion.
Life Today
Today, I live every day in a passionate relationship with God my Heavenly Father through my intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
My passion is helping people experience healing from emotional trauma, freedom from spiritual bondage, and restoration through the love, truth, and power of Jesus Christ.
My prayer is that my testimony encourages you to draw closer to the Lord, fully surrender your life to Him, and experience the freedom and fullness that only Jesus can give.
