If you were to die today and stand before the gates of Heaven and be asked why you should be allowed to enter, the only correct answer is:
“Because I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, that He shed His blood to pay the price for my sins, that God raised Him from the dead, and I have confessed Him as my Lord and Savior.”
The Scriptures clearly reveal God’s plan of salvation:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
— John 3:16–17 NKJV
“…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
— Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
Prayer of Salvation
Pray this prayer out loud from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, come into my heart.
I repent of all my sins.
I repent for living in disobedience to Your will and for rebelling against Your authority.
Please forgive me and wash me clean by Your precious blood.Come into my life and make me a new creation.
By faith, I receive Your free gift of eternal life.
I believe that You died for my sins and rose again from the dead.Today, I confess You, Lord Jesus, as my Savior and the Lord of my life.
In Your mighty name I pray, Amen.”
